Pets!

We have once again added to our family.

Darby has been after us for a long

time for a rabbit.

And we've done a pretty good job

of putting it off...

until now.

Meet Scout.

Scout is a 5yr old female lop.

And Darby is in love!

Every time he goes out to see her

he says I love her!

She's an out door rabbit, that works for me.

But her hutch was in ruff shape, so I told

Dale to make her a new one.

It only took two days to complete.

But it's a luxury condo compared to

what she was living in.

She's still gettin used to all the space she

now has, but in the end I'm sure she'll

be a happier bunny than she ever was.

Crazy Days

Wow... Time sure is flying by fast.

The past few weeks have been crazy for us.

So much to do and of course 

so little time...

Although I'll admit that we did it to ourselves.

Besides our gardening we have made so many 

more yard projects for ourselves.

We tore apart the old deck,

( It was in a dumb place )

And Dale started to build a new one.

It is now almost complete. Just needs to be stained.

Then I decided to take it apon myself to paint our fences!!

Can anyone say dumb ass!!

I almost have the backyard done.

Only a few more panels to do.

But there is still the front to do!

Grrrrrrr!!

But I do have to say that it diffidently makes

the yard look fresh and clean.

I hope to complete the back yard this week.

As long as the weather isn't against me!

Little bits of happiness

In everyone's life their a certain thing's that

make you feel great pleasure.

Your husbands or a lover's touch,

the smile's on your children's faces,

the feel of sand between your toes...

Any number of things can make you sigh, and feel

like it can't get any better than this!

I had one of those moments to today.

I just finished a book that made me laugh out 

loud, anger me,make me shed tears of loss,

then lift my sprites with the power of true love.

All from the pages held between my fingers.

So apon closing the wonderful book that left me feeling

satisfied and ready to pick up another I turn to my

son and say

"I LOVE Books!"

He then looks at me with a face that only a mother

could love and says

"Everyone knows THAT mom."

Then goes on playing his game.

So I decided to share my love with the world!

Now I will admit that I may have a slight problem...

because there a WAY more than what I've shown here.

Maybe I won't get into as much trouble with space for my

books now. My awesome parent's took pity

on me and gave me this Kindle for my birthday.

And although I am one of those people who enjoy the weight 

of a good book in her hands. I love this thing!!

And seeing how this is the time of year that 

I read the most.... Maybe Dale won't notice

how many books I've got, now that they can all

hide in the palm of my hand!

Little Gardens- veggie

This is just an update on our veggie garden.

We've gotten a lot of work done

in the past two week ends.

Dale hard at work making his rows.

After he finished I went in behind him and took out all 

the weeds. Not fun!!

We got almost everything in the ground.

Orange and Purple carrots

Spinach

Swiss Chard

Lettuce

Turnip.

All that's left is the potatoes, cumumber

and Green Beans.

Pretty good if you ask me.

My only fear is what if it all grows!!!

What are we gonna do with it all!

Working out!!

So now it's May!!

Last month I said I'd update my progress

in the weight loss department.

So here it is...

Start weight- 192lbs

Current weight- 184lbs

8lbs total loss.

Woo hoo for me!!

It's not much for a month, but...

I'm happy and that's all that matters.

With all this nice weather I find that I'm more

motivated to be outside.

Walking the dogs everyday! Might not go very far but 

it's the thought that counts!!

Will update progress again next month :)

Little Gardens

I'm sooooo happy!!

Finally Flower's!

Only two, but you won't hear me complain.

And so many more to look forward to.

We also planted our humming bird garden on the weekend.

We planted Strawberry's and Sunflowers too!

Would have started our veggie garden, but we all had to much

sun on the week end.

On another note though, Dale planted grass seed in a few places

last week. It's funny to see him get angry at the window,

then run outside to chase away the birds!!

Or when he tries to get Bullseye to chase them away!

That's what you get for scorching the ground!

The birdies aren't singing they're laughing!

Bwahahahaha!

Pets!

Yesterday was such a wonderful day

that I took the dogs to the beach for 

their first swim of the year.

I enjoyed it so much

that I wanted to share some of my pictures of our

morning out.
