I'm sooooo happy!!

Finally Flower's!

Only two, but you won't hear me complain.

And so many more to look forward to.

We also planted our humming bird garden on the weekend.

We planted Strawberry's and Sunflowers too!

Would have started our veggie garden, but we all had to much

sun on the week end.

On another note though, Dale planted grass seed in a few places

last week. It's funny to see him get angry at the window,

then run outside to chase away the birds!!

Or when he tries to get Bullseye to chase them away!

That's what you get for scorching the ground!

The birdies aren't singing they're laughing!

Bwahahahaha!

Yesterday was such a wonderful day

that I took the dogs to the beach for 

their first swim of the year.

I enjoyed it so much

that I wanted to share some of my pictures of our

morning out.

This was Arrow's first time at the lake.

I think he liked it!

So as you can see we all had a good time.

Hopefully I'll be able to get them out there again

Crafty Crystal

At the begining of this year I made a promise to myself 

that I would make sure that everyone in my life

would receive at least a birthday card from my family.

I've been doing pretty good so far.

They might not get there on time but they are getting there!

Well, it's kinda hard to get a nice varitiy of cards

out here, so I had the great idea that I'd 

start to make my own.

Am I crazy????

Like I don't have enough going on!

But we do have lots of scrapbooking stuff

that's not getting used, and at the moment it is

cheaper to do it this way.

So for those of you who get a card from us

I'm sorry if it looks like a two year old did it!

Be thankful that I remembered!!

Time with Darby

So Breanna's gone for the day with one of her

friends. So I ask Darby what he'd like

to do today.

Ended up he wanted to go the Quarter horse barn

and look at all the horse's that are there.

Woo Hoo!

Sounded good to me.

He loved it! Smiled the whole time.

Laughing at the farting colt!

" He stinks!"

He likes me mom!

I guess he didn't mind the colt's funk after all.

More interested in Darby's hat than the hay.

The wind took his hat over here.

Good thing someone was around to rescue it.

He decided that he was done after this. 

So we drove up to Chaperon to visit with daddy.

Only a few miles away and look at the difference in weather!!

Dad's plow lost a nut.... cue the laughter!

So he dumps me for dad!

Drove back to the ranch with his dad and leaves me all alone.

I almost hit a cow on the way back down!!

Now we're home again and plan to spend the rest of the day playing video games.

I say it's a good day!

Yummy Treats

So the ranch had a Yard Sale yesterday.

All the parents had to be there through out the

day to sell hot dogs for the school.

It was freezing!!

I stood out there all day with the kids.

Brrrrrrr!!

The wind was too cold for me!

We were also asked to bake cookies of some kind to 

help with the sales.

I made cinnamon rolls and sugar pretzels.

I didn't end up bringing the pretzels.

As with all new recipes I should have know that I wouldn't get it right the first time I made them.

Here's my best batch.

Darby and I didn't like them.

But Dale and Bre enjoyed them.

I don't think I'll be making them again

anytime soon.

I Could soooo see myself become

a animal hoarder!

Good thing Dale's here to keep me in line!

We LOVE animal's around here, and not just me

the kids too!

We have two dogs, a guinea pig and are on the hunt for a new kitten.

My baby. Bullseye.

We had tried to find him a friend before but she didn't work out.

He was a bit depressed after we gave here back so we got him a puppy!

He's gonna be a MONSTER!!

But they get along great!

He's been missing for over a week. But living where we do 

things are bound to happen.

The kids are still pretty concerened about him.

Even though we've told them he's not coming back.

So now we are looking for another kitten.

Darby has already named the new cat George.

Causes he's gonna hug him and squeeze him!

There is also hopes for a rabbit and a horse!

Bawhahahahaha!!

Just wanted to show you my little flower bed.

The plants are getting bigger now.

Can hardly wait for them to start to flower.

I thought Darby's old R/C truck was a nice touch!

Brings a little bad ass to the garden.

Working out!!

Okay.... So this is me,or at least it's the person that looks back at me through the mirror.

At the moment I'm around the 190lbs mark.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the skin I'm in.

I just don't want the skin to get any bigger!!

So when we came back from mom's I brought her

elliptical trainer back with me.

So now armed with this and seasons of 

Sex in the City

(thanks again Krista)

I hope to keep my girlish figure looking...

well some what girlish!!

So to keep myself motivated I'll post a monthly picture

of myself and update if I gain or lose.

Even Dale is using it, and we're trying to cut out our junk food 

comsumtion, that's proving to be hard!!

Cause I LOVE chips!!

Little Gardens

Ahhhh Spring!!

Dale is hard at work on his days off!

Can you tell we're a little excited to start planting!??!?

He's been hunting for the roto-tiller for awhile now, and has finally found it.

This is one of the front gardens, before Dale got at it.

Like a child with a new toy!

I have to admitted it is a pretty cool  tool. Makes the work a lot easier....

For Dale!!

Now too get the Blue Berry Bushes and other stuff we want to plant here.

And can't forget to clean out all the stuff Dale stirred up.

Now on to prepare the veggie garden!!
